Funny, but, also exactly right...

Roger Ailes had a great response to being asked if he would start an International version of Fox News (a la CNN International).

"We've decided not to start an anti-American channel," quipped Ailes to the applause of some of the roughly 100 people who attended his speech Thursday night at the Washington Press Club.

It is a great zinger, but, he isn't saying it just to be funny. He understands that to get big play outside the US, you can't actually say anything good about it.

"To get distribution overseas it is helpful if you're not all that friendly to the U.S.," Ailes said during the question-and-answer session..
