This is crap.

Now it isn't OK to protect your property? Someone who has chosen to not respect personal property does not deserve to be treated with any respect and it is a gain for society if they are no longer around.

"The fact that your car is being stolen isn't a legal justification for killing somebody," Deputy District Attorney Frank Somes said.

Guys stops men from stealing his car by shooting at one of the theives and now is charged with first-degree murder? All I know is the right thing is to not prosecute the man at all and it will send quite a signal to potential car theives. Doing nothing to the car owner would be the best thing possible to reduce theft.

I am sorry, you choose to steal, you choose to risk your life.
